KYUICHI SATO

1;CROSS・BEARING
I have given a title called “CROSS・BEARING” to many works.
Originally, this word means fundamental navigation.
I studied the method of getting to know a position on a ship which cruises the coast at the age of 18 years old.
I can explain the method easily.
The navigation officer who is onboard measures the bearing of the three remarkable landmarks as quickly as possible.
Next, he draws on a chart the three bearing lines obtained here.
Three bearing lines on a chart make a triangle which does not cross at one point and includes a small error.
A triangle including a small error as it appears when the navigation officer measures a position on a moving ship is theoretically deduced from measurement, time and an observing eye.
The position given to the subject who moves will become relativity including an error, but we can sail ahead by little, watching carefully and creating.
